With more than 20 years of surgical experience, Dr. Michael Baumholtz, known by many of his patients as Dr. B, is one of Texas’s top board-certified plastic surgeons. A Surgeon with Broad Expertise

Dr. Baumholtz is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with additional training in general surgery and hand and microsurgery. His comprehensive surgical background allows him to confidently approach even the most complex explant or revision cases, including capsular contracture, asymmetry correction, and procedures involving prior implant complications.

He currently serves as the Division Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans’ Hospital in San Antonio and holds a faculty role at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he helps train the next generation of plastic surgeons.

He is deeply involved in surgical research, education, and professional leadership. His work has been presented and published at local, national, and international levels.
